Here’s my hot take of the day. As a software developer, there should be only one time zone for the whole world. That’s right, everyone should be using UTC. Local businesses set their hours around when the sun is up in your local area. And maybe some software developers come home happier from work.
I introduced my two teenagers to the movie Spaceballs last night and it was great hearing them cackle at some of the jokes. That’s still one of my favorite movies.
Feeling somewhat inspired, I’d like to post here more often. Today’s post is about my first 3d-printer and how after a simple test print, I found the spool of filament all tangled up in the back. This was just the spool it came with, so I guess the next lesson is how to change the filament and detangle it. Then I’ll figure out a way to keep it from getting all tangled up next time.

I find myself sitting in the swimming pool room at URI for my kids' most recent swim meet. As I read all the buzz around the new macbook neo, I find myself reflecting on the fact that I’m still using an 8 year old macbook pro and have no desire to upgrade any time soon.
